True Beauty of Rugs

superior_rugs2When my grandmother died, we discovered that she left a simple ‘Last Will and Testament.’ So simple that it was handwritten, folded and did not have any legal representation. I remembered as my siblings and I were going through her things as our mom instructed us to put everything in a box because she cannot do it at that time or else she’d be too emotional, we saw a piece of paper together with her treasured pictures and letters. What made us open and read it is the message written on top of it that said ‘Open this when I’m gone.” Cutting the long story short, the letter enumerated a few things she had and to whom she wanted it given. I was wondering why of all she left me with two area rugs. My siblings and cousins were even laughing at the thought. So with a heavy heart, I decided to wash and clean them because maybe I could sell them as cheap rugs and use the money to treat myself to a fast food chain. But when I saw those rugs clean, I realized that my grandmother really left me a treasure. They were so beautiful that I decided to place them inside my room, one as floor carpet and the other one as a wall tapestry, instead of selling it which was my initial plan. My mom then talked to me and said that she was so happy I discovered the true beauty of those rugs on my own. She’d been wanting to tell me that those rugs costs more than 100x a meal of a fast food chain but she wants me to realize it on my own. A decade has passed and now that I have a family of my own and a condominium, I still have those rugs safely placed inside our master’s bedroom. Thanks to my grandmother, I learned how to appreciate things by looking at its hidden beauty and I have learned to love rugs as well. Now, I buy my rugs at Superior Rugs because they sell rugs with the same quality as my grandmother’s.
